CBD and Cancer

CBD Oil and Cancer

Research suggests that cannabinoids, whether from marijuana or hemp has anti-cancer, anti-pain, and anti-nausea effects.  Recent studies have shown that use of CBD or Cannabidiol, used in conjunction with other traditional methods of cancer treatment may have a syneregistic effect, thereby increasing the effectiveness of the treatment.

Cancer, by definition, is any cell found in the human body that has unchecked growth thereby endangering the host with its spread. With that growth comes inflammation and, often, compression of nearby tissue and organs causing pain….unrelenting and disabling. Common treatments for Cancer are chemotherapy and radiation therapy; both of which also can cause inflammation and breakdown of healthy tissue along with the tumorous cancer cells. The main symptoms most cancer patients complain of: pain, loss of appetite and nausea. Research suggests that Cannabinoids, in any form whether derived from marijuana or hemp, may be helpful for chronic pain as well as increasing appetite. Other possible effects of cannabinoids include:

-Anti-inflammatory activity.

-Blocking cell growth.

-Preventing the growth of blood vessels that supply tumors.

-Antiviral activity.
